This little thing is the kind of idea that will drive the revolution in alternative energy transportation. There is no reason why you wouldn’t build in solar panels to a production electric car, it just makes so much sense.
The 153mile range is probably the most impressive thing, as always the acceleration and top speed are lacking, although 80mph is the highway capable speed everybody is looking for on this side of the pond. (and who needs to go faster than that unless its on a track ?)
The top-speed is electronically restricted, which you can expect to be hacked by someone. I have an idea the the acceleration is probably also electronically capped, probably in an effort to prolong capacitor/battery life over the life of the car; to keep costs lower possibly ? I hope anyway 🙂
